When you submit sensitive information we take precautions to protect that information via the Caitlin's Cutlery website, your information is protected both on and offline. Wherever sensitive information is collected; such as credit card data, that information is encrypted and transferred to Caitlin's Cutlery. While we use encryption to protect our customers' sensitive information transmitted online, Caitlin's Cutlery also protects your information offline by limiting access to employees who need the information to perform specific tasks. Computers, networks, and servers where personally identifiable information is stored are kept in a secure environment. Changes to our privacy policy will be updated here and are at the discretion of the sole proprietor of Caitlin's Cutlery.
All products shown on the website are typically held in stock at our location. If an item that is not available is ordered, we will let you know as soon as possible. If you should see an item that is not available but still wish to purchase, please contact us and we will do what we can to fill your order. Orders are processed as quickly as possible; however, as events can sometimes overlap web sales, please anticipate up to 5-7 Business Days to process orders, depending on the time of year. Keep in mind that we do travel to events throughout the season and need to wait until we get back to the shop to process orders. If you should have a specific need by date, please contact us and we will do what we can to accommodate your request, if possible.
Once an order has left our facility and the carrier has taken possession of the package, it is the responsibility of the carrier to deliver the customer's package in a timely manner. Caitlin's Cutlery cannot be held responsible for shipments that are lost or delayed due to worldwide pandemic, inclement weather, and/or other carrier delaying circumstances. If your shipment is delayed, please contact the carrier of your tracking number for further information or to open a case regarding your missing package.
When purchasing via the website, it is state law that Caitlin's Cutlery is to charge 7.75% sales tax for any merchandise ordered by residents in the State of California. Should you find our booth at an event and purchase from us directly, the sales tax rate will be based on the local rates applicable to that area.
We are understanding to certain circumstances and are willing to discuss the possibilities of a return. Any items being returned must be in their original condition. This means the product cannot be worn, washed, soiled, damaged, or used in any way. Please contact us before sending an item back that you think may be damaged or defective. Shipping costs are not refundable unless we are at fault. We will always correct any errors we make at no extra cost to you. If a return is agreed upon you will need to pay for the return shipping costs and a 20% restocking fee.
Refunds will first be offered as store credit and will not be issued until after the returned product is received. If store credit is not suitable and an agreement has been reached, 5-7 Business Days will be needed to process a refund back to you after the return product is received. This timing may need to be extended depending on event schedule and accessibility to verify the returned product and process the refund.
As this is a web store and we do not currently have a brick and mortar storefront, hours are not applicable. During the faire season email is an easier form of communication due to the travel.
